| In the present era of globalization, the technical education system is facing many challenges. Manufacturing firms and service organizations are being set-up with the state of the art of latest technologies and management practices. These new brands of Industries and service sectors need altogether a group of highly motivated and meticulously trained skilled persons. Therefore, the concept of technical education now has been converted into world class standard to cop up with the latest development taking place. These days, in addition to good technical knowledge, prominent hard and soft skills, like professional communication, creative thinking, project management, decision-making skill, team work attitude, leadership qualities and deep sense of quality consciousness have become most essential. The overall personality development of a person has become main theme of the technical education system. |
| Keeping these facts in mind, the management of PIET made a vision to become global competitor in world class technical education and is continuously striving to achieve its goals. The institute has excellent infrastructural facilities, well developed laboratories, digital library, dedicated and competent faculty and technical staff. The regular institute -industry interaction, industrial visit & active participation in-house seminars-are the tools which will be used for value addition of students. The objectives are set to meet the mission of producing world class technocrats, future managers and researchers, who can transform India. In my view, PIET is an excellent institute where students can convert their dreams into reality. |
